Blue2: Blue1 and I have edited the document under my supervision, and I will finish writing the rest of it in detail soon.

As I have gotten Ganger’s agreement (and Blue2′s I believe) to this system on certain terms, and bearing in mind that Tap and I had already supported it, and Jerry was on the fence, here is the New Golden Troops Constitution.

Preamble

We, the soldiers of the Golden Troops, in order to establish justice, tranquility, democracy, and an improved form of the previous government, hereby institute the New Constitution of the Golden Troops. With this New Age Constitution, the Golden Troops will rise to their former glory an establish a realm of power.

Article I

The new form of government is made up of four main positions: the President(s), the Parliamentarian, the Chief of Internal Affairs, and the Head of Advisory. These positions will be further described in later articles. After these positions, the previous ranks remain, 2ic, 3ic, etcetera.

Article II

The President(s) of the Golden Troops is the supreme leader of the army. He/she(s) declares war, schedules battles, and takes charge of the army. The President(s) retain veto power on the Parliamentarian’s Council, with the condition that the President(s) agree to veto if there is more than one. Currently the Presidents stand as such (The President(s) can be removed only by unanimous impeachment from the Council, or by their own choice to leave) :

Article III

The Parliamentarian is the head of the Council that makes all political decisions in the army, which include authorizing secret operations, impeaching the President(s), or any other movement thereof. The Parliamentarian’s Council is composed of eleven people, not including the Parliamentarian. The council is made up of Leaders, 2nd in Commands, 3rd in Commands, the Head Advisor and the Chief of Internal Affairs. The President(s), Parliamentarian, CIA, and Head Advisor, as previously stated, retain veto power in the Council. In the case of important decisions, a majority veto can overrule the bill and strike it down. For a movement to be passed, a 2/3 Majority in the Council must vote for it, and no veto can take place. The Parliamentarian has the power to veto extremely important decisions in the council, and his one veto is final (Impeachment of the Parliamentarian is exempted from this clause). Currently the Council stands as such (Council Members 5-10 maybe removed at any time if the Parliamentarian decides to do so) :

Article IV

The Chairman of Internal Affairs oversees all intelligence revolving around the army itself and its enemies. At some times, when the operation is especially secretive, the council will be reduced to only include the President(s), Parliamentarian, Head Advisor, and Chairman of Internal Affairs, in which case none has veto power. The CIA can veto Intelligence operations of extreme importance. Currently the CIA stands as such (the person in this position cannot be removed except by retirement or removal of the position enirely) :

Article V

The Head Advisor is meant to choose the people who will fulfill the duties of the Parliamentarian and the CIA after the current person filling the position leaves. The Head Advisor also serves as a counselor to the President(s), as he/she is very experienced in armies. The Head Advisor does have veto power in the council, with the same contingencies as the rest. Currently the Head Advisor position stands as such (the person in this position cannot be removed except by retirement or removal of the position itself) :

Article VI

With the exception of the positions stated thereof, the Golden Troops will function as they previously did. Any further changes to this document must be approved by a 2/3 majority in the Council.

Great job today, Golden Troops!

We did great today, especially within our tactics. Our size was merely a 7.5/10 and our tactics were definitely a 10/10, great job guys! I know you could do it. Oh and yes, we won by the way. We averaged about 10-12 and maxed 15. Great job, read more for the pictures.

Personally I think Blue1′s idea is a bit better rounded. First off, Blue2 wants to be adviser over leader because it frees him up some more. Blue1 is a superb politician, better then you and Jerry combined. His system is a three leader system with checks and balances, something yours forgets. Jerry is a lower rank in SWAT then you, and would be far better as overall head because he can attend things here while you are busy with SWAT. Though his role gives him much power, I do plan on making some changes to reduce his power so the next man for the job cannot abuse it as easily.

I am also proposing a 4th “Leader” role which is more of a Head Adviser role. The Head Adviser has the power to train troops and with the other Branches permission, suggest they make events, lead battles, help make political truces and etc. Of the 4 branches, he is the weakest but he also has the power to influence the next Generation of leaders, something which has killed GT several times in the past.

Now I bet all of you here are going to object, but I request to finalize the final document for review, stating the full roles of the the 4 branches, and describing laws.

Golden Troops,

Hello every one. I’m posting this to clear everything up, so let’s get started. Basically, the Golden Troops are temporarily returning to see what we are capable of. If we do not win the tournament, then we will just return June 4, as planned before. But if we are able to win the tournament, we will have a re-start and have a big post that every body will need to comment on to receive a rank. Basically, our current leaders are:

Leaders: Ganger90, Jerry, Blue2

Our current government is a Democracy and the current rankings for it are:

President: Ganger90

Secretary of War: Jerry

I expect at least 15 or more at all the SMAC battles that we will be going to in the future. I want all former Golden Troops to return. We want only the best, we expect only the best; so bring the best. For now, Tap Dancer36 and Bluesockwa1 are advisors. Tap is leaving at the end of this month any way, and I want every body to wish him a good life. He’s served a great time here in the Golden Troops and has been very loyal, diverse, but definitely loved by each and every one of us in some way. I expect you all to make the SMAC Round 2 battle tomorrow against the Sky Troops!

A Final Ruling

Jerry: I’m sorry that I haven’t been on chat or posting/editing as much as before. S.W.A.T is war-stricken and I cannot leave it during it’s time of need. But the true revival of GT will happen around June 16, whether you guys want it or not. Remember, it’s going to be a whole new different GT that anyone has expected, for it’s time to become a long-term legendary army. Like we rightfully deserve.

You are sitting here debating your asses off for weeks on end. We’re not going to run around like headless chickens any longer. It’s time something is done around here.

Bluesockwa here. So we have failed. That is imminent. And now, under Jerry, we have to rebuild this army from the ground.

If you truly know what has been happening in this army since the fall of the glorious GT, you know that is what we have done. We have tried and tried again, thinking that new leaders would save us. In some cases, it does. In our case, it has not. So, I do not propose we find new leaders. I propose we rewire the entire system. A complete revamp to the way we or any other army has ever handled power.

I propose Jerry fills the position of President of the Golden Troops; he is the overall leader of the army. Ganger will fill the position of Secretary of War, which involves gathering troops, meeting with other armies to discuss terms, scheduling practice battles, and declaring war. To declare war, the Secretary of War must consult the President of the Golden Troops. I will fill the third and final position of the leadership, the Parliamentarian. The Parliamentarian is in charge of all internal intelligence (which can be accessed by the President or Secretary at any time) and of all political decisions. (This includes impeaching a leader, authorizing a secret operation, editing or changing the GT Constitution of any other bills, etcetera). The Parliamentarian will have a eight-man council composed of former and current GT Leaders and other high ranks. The other leaders have veto power, but only if both the Secretary and the President agree to veto. The Parliamentarian has no other power relating to declaring war or leading the army; they are the responsibilities of the President and the Secretary.

Let’s run through the proposed system:

President of the Golden Troops: Jerry

Secretary of War: Ganger

Parliamentarian: Blue1

Parliamentarian’s Council: Jerry (veto power), Ganger (veto power), Tap Dancer, Bluesockwa2, Kludd, Aadog, Sora, Lmfao

As Tap and Blue2 plan to stay Advisor in the army and nothing more, they will not lead in the next generation. Jerry, as you are still the sole President of the Golden Troops, you may override this at any time. However, I believe it is a complicated yet good way to manage the army. Soldiers, please comment with your opinions.

Jerry: Complicated things will soon be a thing in the future GT. So this will go right with what I plan to do. Also, to those worrying about complications. Sometimes, in life, people need order, and so order becomes a bit complicated, however, it’s always resolved in some manner. So we will expierence that in armies so that we can learn from our mistakes and make sure it never happens again.

So what type of leader will I be? I’ll always be the same Jerry that you known for a long time, but now, I’m not going to bullshit anymore. If you mess up, if you don’t care, if you cause treason, you’re fired. God help you if you’re a high rank and I find out you’re causing crimes against the Nation.

Ok Ganger, since you are so convinced we are not dead answer some stuff for me and if possible, in this post.

Who are the Leaders now. Are they the same or are they new?
If you claim to get full chats, why do none of the troops stay
Why can’t you let other leaders lead SWAT, who has a full chat often, when you have a GT event at the same time

also I am making some new GFX for site and if anyone has some good custom GT penguins (I suck at customs) I can use, please link the links on this post or something. I will leave the CSS to someone more capable

Golden Troops are back up until further notice, (Event Below)

I know that we have been claimed dead and whatever. But, I’m going to take a shot at winning this tournament. This event is in 3 days from when this post is posted. Be prepared and make sure you are on chat for the battle. And if we win, then forget about restarting. The leaders will be Ganger90 and Jerry. If we win this tournament, then it will basically be the deciding moment for the Golden Troops. We can get a full chat definitely just from me, but now with Jerry too. Well, let’s just see what we can do with it. If we win the tournament, then basically we will not die until June 4 or whenever the restart date is. GT’s 5th Generation has closed down to begin it’s rebuilding for its 6th Generation.

More ideas will be added on as I think of more. Now as to why GT is closing.

The pain and stress that has occurred in this army was overwhelming. This was why I had to retire and leave for another army where the work was distributed along many leaders. Now you guys understand the work that has to be done in this family for it to rise. Now you see how frustrating it is when you have high hopes and they get stomped on. So GT ends this generation to make a new one. A generation where change will happen and the family becomes re-united. We lost some members along the way, and with this new change, we hope to get them back. Here’s the run-down of GT’s future and plans.

GT’s Plan

Establish a long-term leadership
Increase it’s Recruiting resources
Establish a loyal Owner/Mod system

Creating the previous would help GT in the long run. This way, we won’t have to keep resetting and making new starts just so our name lives on. And how will we tackle these issues? I’ll discuss that separately. Now, for GT’s survival, it is important that we select the most capable, dedicated, loyal leaders. These leaders must have experience in other armies, must be intelligent and must never give up on GT.

So cheers to a new era of success. And farewell to the old forgotten one. This time, we won’t go down without a fight. GT Fights for GT Pride.
